Any Questions?

Sorry I have not written in 2 weeks. Life is still zooming by. So much to do, so little time. You blink and a week has gone by. Just madness.

I was thinking doing something a little different this time, while still on the topic of self-reflection. I got the idea from Pinterest, who was constantly showing me self-reflection questionnaires. So I thought, “Hey, Why not?” And began taking questions from each one and came up with 35. I thought it’d be a great way for you guys to get to know me a bit better and also use this as an exercise to possibly get to know yourself better too.

  1. Something I thought a lot about as a child? Who I would marry and how I wanted to be in a happy and loving marriage.
  2. One thing I’ve always wished for… Well, as a child, I wished for what I have now. A beautiful family, a comfortable home, to feel part of a family (my in-laws are the best) and a great group of friends. Now, I find myself wishing for more time and money. haha!
  3. If I received $10,000 that I HAD to spend on myself I would… Pay off my debt and get a new car!!!!!! That’s easy :p
  4. One thing I need to work on is… Consistency!!! For the gym, for having a routine, for my goals, for everything!
  5. I’m most proud I… have become the person I am today ❤
  6. In the next year I really want to… Get rid of clutter and be smarter how I spend my money. I guess practice a bit of minimalism. Less junk, buy only what I NEED. Oh and of course lose my belly fat!!!!!! That’s a given!
  7. The ways I’ve grown over the last 5 years… Oh my… where to start. I’m not angry at the world anymore. I don’t take things personally. I’ve learned to not give a fuck and let things go that are out of my control. I am learning not to stress over silly things. I’ve learned what is truly important in life. Gratitude is important and taking care of myself mentally is #1.
  8. Something I’d like to achieve one day is… Graduating from college or university.
  9. The best advice I could give younger me is… Don’t sweat the small stuff. School and friends are more important than boys. You are beautiful and worth so much. Believe in yourself. Life is what you make of it. Anger won’t fix anything.
  10. What do I need more of in my life? Money Lol! I’m not awful at organizing but I would love more organization and energy.
  11. What do I need to let go of? Oh, this is an easy one. My anger. It’s the last major area I need to work on mentally. I’m not sure how to approach it to fix it just yet.
  12. What is holding me back from living my life? My self-doubt. The unknown scares me and I always feel I’m not qualified enough to take the next step and to embrace any change. 
  13. What brings me genuine joy? Aside from my family and friends… Music. I LOVE music. It is one of the most beautiful gifts in life.
  14. What do I need to heal right now? My anger and work on my confidence. 
  15. Where do I want to be in the next 3 years? In a better job with more opportunities for advancement and more opportunities to learn more. Working out and getting up early regularly. Carrying less anger and to be stable. An engagement right would just be the cherry on top. :p
  16. What do I love about myself? My sense of humor. I think I’m a great cheerleader for my family and friends. Help people whenever they need. I have a big heart. Oh and great hair (haha) 
  17. What is my top goal? And what is the first action to take? Getting fit! First action is going to bed early everyday so I can get up early to go to the gym.
  18. How can I add more fun into my life? I’ve asked my boyfriend to download me some Zumba, I love dancing so why not use it as a workout. Watch more comedies. Read more. Try new things like learning how to draw. I also want to try fun things with my stepdaughter like crafts, painting, spa nights, baking, any ideas I find on pinterest. 
  19. How have I been getting in the way of my goals? Oh god, this is a good one. Plain and simple, I’m lazy. I am my own worst enemy. I can talk myself out of anything. I procrastinate. I need to learn to be way more disciplined!
  20.  How can I show myself more love? By saying “No” more often which would give me more time to work on my goals. More time pampering myself with masks, baths, scented candles etc…
  21. What would make me happy right now? A new car!!!!!!!
  22. List 10 things you are grateful for. 1- my stepdaughter 2- My boyfriend 3- my family 4- my friends 5- my cat 6- my home 7- my job 8- my health and healed hand 9- food on my late 10- experiencing so much love in my life.
  23. What bothers me? Why? This list can be long haha. People who sit around and complain all the time and don’t do anything to try and better their situation. It bothers me because there is so much more to life than sitting around and feeling sorry for yourself. I will never be a party to that. I’ve become a ‘glass is half full’ type of person. I’ve been there. I know life can be shit. Get your ass up and do something about it. I find it to be a waste of time for them and for me. At the end of the day it really is just to seek attention and selfish. 
  24. One message I would share to the world. Simple. Be nice.
  25. What lesson did I learn this week? I wouldn’t say I learnt it this week, but I was definitely reminded. Never let go of your inner child. Spending time with my stepdaughter this weekend made me appreciate her playfulness, to laugh at everything and let go of any reservations.
  26. What does my ideal day look like? Getting up at 5am, going to the gym, have breakfast and read/journal, get ready for work, work, make supper, watch a show with my boyfriend and relax, disconnect, face mask, read, sleep.
  27. Where does my pain originate? How do I heal? My pain comes from my childhood. It left me feeling cheated, worthless, and angry. I’ve started to heal the worthless and cheated part, my family now has shown me I’m not worthless and if I got cheated in family early on, I am so fucking spoiled with the family I’m apart of now. The anger… I’m still trying to figure out how to heal that one. 
  28. What are my strengths? What am I good at? I’m a hard fucking worker. I’m good at logical thinking. Writing. Singing. Organizing family outings :p
  29. What would I love to learn? Nutrition!!!
  30. Hobbies I’d like to try? Drawing or Scrapbooking.
  31. Where would I like to travel to in the next 5 years? Somewhere warm or Chicago.
  32. One way I’d like to grow in the next year? I’d like to heal the anger I have. 
  33. Five things to do less often… 1- stay up late 2- procrastinate 3- sleep in 4- mindless social media browsing 5- buy shit I don’t need.
  34. What/Who inspires me? I was going to skip this questions because I have unhealthy people I’m inspired by like social media celebs… but then I realized my inspiration is my old self. How can I make myself better than I used to be. That’s what pushes me to change. My boyfriend as well, I want to make him proud, I want to be the best stepmom I can be to his daughter and I realized I used to be very ugly inside so by dating a good man, he inspires me to be a good woman.
  35. If I could go to the past or future, I would…. If I could go to the past, I would have focused more on school and my friends rather than boys and partying. I would have also focused on singing and pushed myself to do something with it. I would have got into healthier hobbies. I know the past shaped me into who I am today, has given me the strength I have today… but I can’t help but think how much easier life would be now if I would have had my priorities straight. I could be more successful, finished secondary school, been more confident in myself and who knows what else. Thinking like this makes me sound ungrateful… but I did not asked to be born in a shit-hole, and children don’t deserve to figure life out with no proper guidance. I know I turned out pretty good… but I wish the shit that was going on around me when I was younger would have lit a fire under my ass to be my best. It didn’t. I partied and tried to find any way to fill the whole I felt inside. Sex, drugs, you name it. I wanted to feel worthy, important to someone. If I could change the past, I would. In a heartbeat.
